Just as they had
in the case of On the Gulf,
the University Press of Mississippi
chose to assemble stories I had
written with Italian settings into
a volume of reprints. In addition
to the title story, “Knights & Dragons,”
a short novel laid principally in Rome,
is reprinted here, as is “The Cousins”
about a group of young relatives
traveling abroad, also “The White
Azalea,” and other minor pieces.
